BEST Beauty-Beef-up, vitamins for your age

BEST BEAUTY-Beef-up's vitamins for your age

With loads of research suggesting vitamins and minerals are the key to preventing a bevy of health problems and keeping our well-being up to par, we know that they should be a vital part of our diet. But, if ever you’ve walked through the vitamin aisle of any store or set foot into a nutritional shop, you also know that vitamins can be very intimidating. With hundreds of options to choose from, how do we know which ones we should be taking? To put an end to the guessing game, here is what I recommend from a nutritional and natural standpoint.

If You're In Your 20s:

When time is on your side, focus on not making old cells later. My favorite supplements for this age group target healthy hair and nails. A good multivitamin, and hair, skin and nail supplement is good.  Look for a black currant seed oil supplement which is an essential fatty acid that promotes healthy growth of skin, hair and nails, as well. I suggest a multi-vitamin from Standard Process $12.00 for a month supply, and Black Current Seed Oil $16.50 for a month supply. Of course drink a lot of water, and do not start smoking.

If You're In Your 30s:

We all know that skin changes as we age. A lot of this is due to over wind or sun exposure, pollution, stress hormones, pregnancy, nutrition deficiencies, drinking alcolhol, and toxins in our food; and loss of subcutaneous support (among other factors), wrinkles are, unfortunately, a natural part of aging. In addition to forming wrinkles, skin also becomes rough and dry, and at the same time adult breakouts and patches. To combat this, make sure you are supplementing/eating enough quality fats, proteins and dark greens in your diet. I recommend you take a daily female multi called total female $34 for a 90 day supply and complete essentials an omega-3 fatty acids $50 for a 90 day supply. Of course drink a lot of water, avoid heavy metals, birth control, and estra-estrogen sources.

If You're In Your 40s:

There's a reason we have a well-documented love affair with filler,  Caspero explains that as we age, I recommend a collagen supplement to keep skin youthful and vibrant. After using collagen for 12 weeks, you should expect to see a significant reduction in lines, wrinkles and skin dryness. I recommend Standard Process collagen C - $16.50 for a month supply, Regeneplex $42.50 for a month supply.

Regeneplex is a clinically studied systemic skin health product that works from the inside out. By combining key ingredients from whole foods with complementary ingredients, this formula synergistically supports the body’s natural tissue-healing processes associated with the normal effects of aging.

  • Targets all three layers of skin, the circulatory and digestive systems, and cellular structure and functions
  • Provides a supportive nutritional foundation for healthy skin
  • Supports skin elasticity and appearance while helping address fine lines around the eyes
  • Provides support for cellular rejuvenation
  • High in antioxidant vitamin C

If You're In Your 50s:

For this age group, its very important that you have your estrogen in a good ratio to the rest of your hormones. Its important that you have a hormone test if you are unsure. You can read more and buy them online now, here: http://www.cammiballeck.com/female-hormone-testing/

For this age group I recommend an antioxidant called OPC $39.50 for 40 day supply, and Regeneplex also ($42.50 for a month supply.) For estrogen balance I also recommend you eat more dark green vegi's such as kale and Brussel sprouts and take 1 daily Cruciferous Complete $28 for 90 days. And of course a good omega is good always too.

If You're In Your 60s or Older:

In addition to all the above anti-aging supplements, I also recommends both a Vitamin D and B12 vitamin for anyone over age 50 or 60. While we don't often think of these as beauty vitamins,  they can help with normal skin function. As we age, we lose the ability to absorb nutrition in the same capacity as we did when we were younger. Vitamin D deficiency also becomes more common, thanks to a lack of exposure and reduced absorption. In addition to B12 and vitamin D, a more potent anti-aging supplement is helpful. I recommed a herbal supplement ( if you are not on medication)

Vitanox $100 for a 4 month supply- contains a synergistic blend of herbs which provide strong antioxidant activity. The herbs Rosemary, Green Tea, Turmeric and Grape Seed provide phenolic diterpenes (including carnosol and rosmarinic acid), polyphenols including epigallocatechin gallate, essential oils containing sesquiterpenes, yellow pigments referred to as diarylheptanoids (including curcumin), flavonoids, triterpenoids and oligomeric procyanidins. This product is standardized to contain 83.35 mg of catechins, 70.4 mg of curcuminoids and 42.5 mg of procyanidins in each tablet to ensure optimal strength and quality. The natural substances in Vitanox:

  • provide strong antioxidant activity
  • support healthy circulation and vascular integrity
  • maintain healthy connective tissue
  • support and maintain cellular health
